In game situations or just in practice, Ashton Isch is the one to go to for hitting free throws.

Southern Coffey County High’s senior guard received postseason state honors on Sunday. The Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle announced their 2011-2012 All-Class state basketball teams.

Isch was named to the Kansas Class 1A second team by the Capital-Journal and earned 1A honorable mention from the Eagle.

Isch, who has signed to play basketball for Southwestern College in Winfield next year, was selected to the 2011-2012 Lyon County League girls’ basketball all-league first team.

Isch set a new SCCH girls’ record for consecutive free throws early this year. She hit 129 free throws during practice. Isch shot 90 percent from the free-throw line during game situations this season for the Lady Titans.
